THE SQUAMISH QUILTERS GUILD
The Squamish Quilter’s Guild was formed in September 1996 with a view towards sharing a joint interest in the art of quilting. The Guild’s members have a wide range of experience – from novice to experienced – quilting and textile artists, each generously sharing their talents. Squamish, B.C. is one hour south of Whistler, B.C. and one hour north of North Vancouver, B.C., a pretty drive on the Sea to Sky Highway – come visit our Guild.
We meet monthly on the First Wednesday of each month, except July and August, at the Sandman Hotel in the Industrial Park, Squamish, booked for the complete day for Guild purposes. The day starts at 9:00 AM with members bringing their own projects to work on, or helping put ‘Community Quilts’ together. The evening meetings, commencing at 6:45 PM, are a venue for educational programs, sharing quilting experiences, speakers, a short meeting and member participation in Show & Share of their recent projects.
If you have questions, you may contact Dorothy for more information……778 241-0277 or send us an email message at firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: After a day of sewing and socializing, members will often join together at a local restaurant for dinner before the evening meeting. During the sew day, members will bring lunch with tea and coffee being provided.
Annual membership dues ($40.00) are payable at the September meeting or come and try a drop-in day for a fee of $5.00. New members and guests always welcome.
